Intellectual Property (IP) Legal Interns work under the supervision of an attorney and attend law school in the evening. Responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and supporting IP due diligences, patent landscape analyses, patent litigations, post-grant proceedings (IPR, PGR, interferences) and other IP matters related to all aspects of technology, including software, hardware, semiconductors, telecommunications, autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics and blockchain. Qualified candidates must have a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, applied physics or related field. Must have experience researching, writing and reading scientific publications in a relevant area. Additionally, candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, superior academic background and a desire for teamwork, significant responsibility and client interaction. Those who have already been accepted to law school (local part-time evening programs only) and / or are registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office are strongly preferred.
