ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR

Job Description :
PVPA has an opportunity for an Activities Coordinator for the 2025-2026 school year beginning immediately. We are looking for a reflective practitioner who collaborates effectively with colleagues and understands the varied needs of students in grades 7-12. The Activities Coordinator will work collaboratively with students, administration, staff, Affinity group advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and enriching experience for the student body. This position will be the organizer and point person for all school-wide / grade-level community events, student clubs, Affinity groups, and DEI Initiatives. Under the direction of the Dean of Students, you will be responsible for :
- Diversity Committee oversight and event organizing, including but not limited to
Alignment with the school culture calendar, celebrating diversity, and awareness efforts
Coordinate student engagement in the community and other art opportunities aligned with PVPA’s DEIB efforts.Build a network of DEIB community members invested in PVPA through the Diversity Committee and in collaboration with all stakeholders.Collaborate with the School Culture Team and Leadership to identify underserved students and develop strategies to improve engagement, belonging, and connection.Student Council AdvisorBi-monthly MeetingsFacilitate opportunities for staff and other stakeholders to attend meetings regularlyShare meeting notes with leadership and the school communityEngage students in organizing leadership opportunitiesCoordinate Weekly / Yearly Community TimeSupport Affinity Groups and Affinity Group Advisors
Coordinate student clubsCoordinate Open Mic performances and other Community Time activitiesFoster positive, inclusive performance and audience cultureOrganize quarterly Student Grade-Level MeetingsAttend Staff Grade Level Team Meetings as needed
Create agendas for student grade-level meetingsProvide notice and agendas prior to Student Grade Level MeetingsCoordinate and organize special school events, including but not limited to Community Day, Octoberfest, Unity Day, and grade-level social events in collaboration with leadership and the School Culture Team.Work collaboratively with the School Culture Team to increase community connection and deepen students’ sense of belonging.Other duties as assignedQualifications :
Bachelor’s degree required.MTEL Communication & Literacy and Subject Matter Test required by June 30, 2026.Three years of public-school experience required – five years preferredExperience implementing evidence-based practices to create a culture of inclusion and belonging; experience engaging diverse learners through culturally responsive pedagogy; experience using data to inform decision-making; experience managing a small team of educators.Commitment to professional growth and collaboration; skilled in culturally proficient and inclusive communication.Commitment to reflective practice and teamwork.Other Information / Instructions :
Salary Range : $53,000 - $56,000 annually plus the potential for bonus at the end of the fiscal year (dependent upon tuition revenue). For the 2025-2026 school year the position consists of 200 days that includes 180 days of school, 5 professional development / curriculum work days plus 15 additional days (follows school year calendar).
