Sr STEEL ESTIMATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

A premier structural steel erector has an opening for a Sr Estimator with talent, initiative and drive to join their team and have a critical role their growing organization.

Because if their quality track record, they are a large 10,000 ton plus project enterprise, erecting International Airports, Manufacturing Facilities, Arena / Stadium / Conventions, etc.

ESTIMATING PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Oversee and review project plans, requirements and specifications
• Determine labor and equipment costs
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
• Understand project logistics (New, repair, and demolition) and project schedule
• Understand all bid documents and assess project risks
• Review quotes and estimates with the project team
• Prepare estimates and different levels of completion ( conceptual, schematic, DD, CD, etc.)
• Orchestrate pre-construction duties and meeting with owners, clients and engineers

ESTIMATOR QUALIFICATIONS :

• 7+ years of structural steel Estimating experience
• Experience estimating 10,000 ton+ Steel erection projects.
• Engineering Experience is a bonus
• Advanced computer skills with estimating software (AutoCAD)
• Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles relating to steel erection
• Understand aspects of structural steel and misc metal concepts.
