About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Private Duty Manager to join our growing Tampa team. This position is a hybrid role, blending clinical caregiving with operational office responsibilities. With time spent providing direct patient care as a caregiver of your time in the office supporting scheduling, operations, and new hire onboarding.
This is a critical position that ensures our clients receive exceptional care and that our caregivers feel supported, trained, and engaged.
Responsibilities
Provide direct in-home care to clients, including ADLs, companionship, safety support, and documentation.
Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and families.
Support urgent fill-ins and ensure continuity of care when staffing needs arise.
Assist with scheduling, caregiver assignments, and shift coverage to ensure timely client support.
Help facilitate new hire orientations, skills checks, and onboarding processes.
Participate in community engagement efforts, representing Discovery At Home at events, outreach activities, and partnerships.
Assist in performance management, communication, and team coordination for caregivers.
Maintain up-to-date documentation, staff schedules, and operational records in the scheduling system.
Additional Requirements
Participation in the on-call rotation (required).
Ability to address urgent client or staffing needs after hours when on call.
Collaboration with leadership to support program growth and quality standards.
Qualifications
Active CNA or HHA certification (required).
1–2 years of caregiving experience; private duty experience strongly preferred.
Scheduling, staffing, or office coordination experience in home care encouraged (training available).
Strong communication, customer service, and organization skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
Reliable transportation for field visits.
