A Career Consultant in the A. B. Freeman School of Business plays a crucial role in fostering student success and facilitating positive career outcomes for both undergraduate and graduate students. A Consultant equips students with lifelong career skills, guiding them in developing strong career strategies to secure internships and full-time positions. The Career Consultant also facilitates career education programs each semester and works collaboratively as part of a dynamic team of career consultants and employer engagement specialists.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Fostering student success by providing personalized career coaching, guidance, and strategy development.
- Equipping students with essential lifelong career skills, including resume development, interview preparation, networking, and job search strategies.
- Offering one-on-one and group coaching sessions to address individual career goals and challenges.
- Facilitating career education programs, focusing on practical application and personal growth.
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, including students, recruiting representatives, business school colleagues, faculty, and alumni.
- Collecting and reporting student engagement and outcomes data per university and professional association standards.
- Collaborating with employer engagement specialists to build and maintain partnerships with potential employers.
- Contributing to team initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing career services and student outcomes.

- Bachelor's Degree and at least five years of relevant experience.

Master's Degree and at least three years of relevant experience.International business experience and language fluency in a second language.Corporate talent acquisition experience or network.Professional certification in career coaching, career management, or related professional credentials.
