Operating Room Inventory Coordinator
Monitors and maintains operating room inventory and related duties.
Responsibilities include :
Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees.
Contributing to and participating in performance / quality improvement activities.
Ordering daily supplies using the Keane System.
Establishing and maintaining an accurate inventory control system for all storage areas in the department.
Performing random counts of inventory to department needs.
Receiving daily deliveries and restocking the stockroom supply closets, code room, and patient exam rooms.
Organizing and maintaining the stockroom according to accepted infection control practice.
Overseeing assistant coordinators.
Developing a prevention maintenance schedule with Biomed.
Performing daily rounds with ED Nursing Patient Care Manager to identify problems and supplies needed.
Working closely with Biomed to identify and repair broken equipment.
Developing ordering par levels.
Rotating supply inventory to minimize expired stock.
Maintaining supply stockroom in an orderly, neat, and organized fashion.
Recommending inventory control improvements.
Assisting in the annual physical inventory of supplies and equipment.
Qualifications include :
One (1) year experience in inventory management.
Knowledgeable concerning inventory requirements at all divisions.
Good customer service skills.
Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field.
Computer literate.
