Body / Interventional Advanced Practice Provider - Tampa, FL

POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Associates of Florida, a Radiology Partners practice, seeks a dedicated and preferably experienced full-time Body Radiology Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our group at Tampa General Hospital. The selected candidate will primarily perform procedures in the procedure suite adjacent to our faculty-staffed offices, supported by a team of nurses, nurse assistants, and technologists. Additional duties include rounding and consultations, and collaboration with current Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and residents.

This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with five 8-hour shifts per week to support a healthy work-life balance.

The role provides comprehensive pre- and post-procedure care for inpatients and outpatients. The workload focuses on ultrasound-guided procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, superficial fine-needle aspiration, and core biopsies, with opportunities to participate in and develop proficiency in various CT-guided procedures. The workload is shared among three other advanced practice providers. There are also opportunities to supervise PA students from the University of South Florida (USF) during rotations as part of our commitment to education and mentorship.

A collaborative, team-oriented mindset is essential. Tampa General Hospital is an 1100-bed quaternary facility in downtown Tampa serving as the primary teaching hospital for USF medical students and residents, enhancing the professional and academic environment.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Candidates must be graduates of an accredited NP / PA program.
• Current NP / PA license and certificate of authority to practice in the State of Florida required.
• Board certification by NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Comfortable performing procedures; on-the-job procedural training will be provided.
