Controls Systems Engineer
Position Summary :
Seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team, focused on optimizing and enhancing manufacturing operations through expert management and development of control systems.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
Registration :
Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred but not required.
Qualifications :
- 2 to 10 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems engineering
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam
- Knowledge of industry standards for instrumentation and controls
- Familiarity with PLC, HMI, and DCS systems
- Experience in PLC / DCS programming is advantageous
Job Responsibilities :
- Produce detailed installation plans, including electric room layouts, cable schedules, control panel layouts, loop diagrams, and instrumentation plans
- Develop control narratives and specify process instrumentation tailored to project needs
- Size control valves using vendor software to ensure precise control within system operations
- Create and manage specifications and data sheets for instrumentation, analyzers, control systems, and actuated valves
- Conduct thorough reviews of vendor submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Liaise with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and communication for timely project completions
- Evaluate vendor bid submittals to select optimal solutions for projects
- Compile scopes, drawings, and specifications into comprehensive procurement packages
- Contribute to the development and refinement of P&IDs focusing on instrumentation and control aspects
Pay Details : $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
