About The Position

Schedule :

Full-time Locum Orthopedic Surgeon

Clinic Days : Monday–Friday 🗓️

Clinic Hours : 8 AM – 5 PM ⏰

On Call : Yes ☎️ (24-hour call coverage + follow-ups in clinic)

Details :

Inpatient Responsibilities : Rounding on post-op patients, inpatient / ED consults, OR 🏥

Job Responsibilities : Clinical, Surgical, Trauma / Orthopedic Call

Trauma Level : 3 🚑

Number of Physicians : 4

Number of Advanced Practice Providers : 7

Supervision of APP expected ✅

Physician Nurse Ratio : 1 nurse / provider, 3 cast techs / 7 providers

Ancillary Staff per Provider : 3 Reception / 7 providers, 2 Surgery Schedulers / 7 providers

Exam Rooms per Provider : 2 exam rooms + 3 cast rooms

Medical Imaging : Yes 🩻

Lab & Pharmacy : Yes 🧪

Average Daily Hospital Practice Census : 160 pts / day 📊

Appointment Length : 10–30 min depending on consult, recheck, post-op, or procedure

Demographics : Hub Hospital serving 16 surrounding counties, population 200,000+ 🌎

EMR : Clinic – GE Centricity, Hospital – Epic (switch to Epic in December)

Teaching Opportunity : IM and FM residency; PA student rotation 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Services Offered :

Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement 🦵

Hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures ✋

Trauma injuries, fracture care, sports medicine, and other disorders ⚡

Job Requirements

Board Certified – REQUIRED ✅

Clean Malpractice / Background – REQUIRED ✅

Active IA License or Active IMLC – REQUIRED

Must be available at least 2 weeks per month

Providers must be able to perform all listed orthopedic procedures
