Overview
Supervisor, Critical Facilities Operations at NTT DATA, Inc. This role supervises the Data Center Technicians and the Facilities Technicians and is responsible for operating and maintaining the data center to achieve optimal uptime and compliance with applicable requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the Data Center Technicians and the Facilities Technicians.
- Operates and maintains data center to assure the most optimal uptime for facilities services (electrical, cooling, etc. as measured by Five 9's).
- Assigns tasks to the CFOps team in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements for fire, health and Life Safety.
- Provides tasking for daily operations and maintenance scheduling of non-critical and critical maintenance.
- Ensures the CFOps team works effectively to achieve CFOps goals, including budget reviews, staff planning, NPS, and efficiency.
- Analyzes data center equipment for maximum effectiveness, safety, cost, longevity, and reliability.
- Conducts training with Data Center Technicians on equipment, PMs, QA and CFOps procedures / processes.
- Manages and maintains training documentation and provides documentation to HR.
- Ensures data center operates at maximum efficiency, including evaluating operating conditions, recommending new technologies, maintaining customer SLA requirements, and improving efficiency within budget.
- Works with customers to provide successful installs that exceed expectations.
- Supervises the safety and well-being of all CFOps team members.
- Responsible for shift assignments, timekeeping review and approval, and PTO approval for all assigned technicians.
- Writes and reviews non-critical and critical MOPs, SOPs, SMPs and provides input; supervises their execution and thorough completion.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong background in electrical and mechanical systems design review, layout, installation, commissioning and operationsExpert knowledge of low voltage systems, including fire, security and PLCsExpert knowledge of NFPA Electrical, Fire and Life Safety and building codesExpert knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25 and compliance issuesExpert knowledge in industrial safety best practices (lockout / tagout, arc flash protection, OSHA and state regulations)Experience with data trending / tracking and analysis and ability to rapidly learn and use PC-based monitoring systemsStrong supervisory skills and excellent written and verbal communicationExtensive hands-on experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting large commercial and industrial mechanical and electrical systemsProficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)Ability to train electrical and mechanical teams on systems and proceduresAbility to conduct capacity, safety and code compliance assessmentsAbility to operate in a process-driven, team environment; ability to multi-task and solve problemsDetail-orientedEducation & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience (typically 5-6 years in related field)Minimum 5+ years in a mechanical / electrical role within critical facilities (data center, hospital, power plant, etc.); preference for data center experienceMinimum 2+ years as foreman, lead or senior technician in a critical facilityCertified Electrician preferred where assignedCPR / First Aid and NFPA70E Certification during employmentForklift CertificationPhysical Requirements

A monthly stipend will be provided to cover expenses incurred for using a personal device, if applicable.
NTT GLOBAL Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $89,600 - $123,200. All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
