Multifamily Building Systems Technician II
Location : Sacramento, CA
Compensation : $22–$26 per hour DOE
A day in the role
Morning starts with a quick review of overnight work orders and a walkthrough of common areas. By mid-morning, you might diagnose a leaky kitchen supply line, replace a failed disposal, and cap the day with a thermostat calibration that brings a resident’s HVAC system back to life. In between, you’ll coordinate apartment turns—painting, cleaning, and repairing—to ready homes for new move-ins. When urgent calls come in, you’re prepared to respond, participating in an on-call rotation as needed.
What you’ll handle
- Execute routine and preventative maintenance across apartment homes, common spaces, and building systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance issues.
- Close out work orders promptly while delivering courteous, resident-first service.
- Support unit turns : painting, detailed cleaning, and punch-list repairs.
- Respond to emergencies as required (on-call rotation may apply).
- Keep tools, equipment, and parts organized and in safe, working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies on every task.
What you bring
2+ years of maintenance experience, ideally in multifamily housing or property management.Hands-on knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building upkeep.EPA HVAC certification preferred (but not required).Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably perform physical work.Clear, friendly communication and a customer-service mindset.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Pay, schedule, and benefits
