Job Title : Business Development Representative - Food & Beverage

Location : Artesia

Department : Sales / Business Development

Reports To : Owner

Position Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will play a key role in driving growth within the Food & Beverage sector by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and supporting the sales pipeline. This role requires a proactive, results-driven individual with a passion for the food and beverage industry and a strong ability to communicate value propositions to prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting

Identify and research potential clients within the food and beverage industry.

  • Utilize CRM tools and market intelligence to build and maintain a robust pipeline.
  • Client Engagement
  • Initiate contact with prospects via calls, emails, and networking events.

  • Qualify leads and schedule meetings for senior sales executives.
  • Market Analysis
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.

  • Provide insights to support strategic planning and product positioning.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align outreach strategies.

  • Assist in developing proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Performance Tracking
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress in CRM systems.

  • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified leads and conversions.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.
  • Knowledge of the food and beverage industry and its supply chain.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in B2B sales within food and beverage or hospitality sectors.
  • Familiarity with trade shows, industry events, and networking best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data.
