As a Security Officer - Mall Security Patrol Unarmed in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall areas, helping to create a secure environment for visitors and staff. Your presence on routine patrols and at key locations will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. You will interact with the public, respond to situations as needed, and support a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.Conduct regular and random security-related patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and monitor for irregularities.Observe and report any unusual activities, potential hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to relay important information and coordinate responses as needed.Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and / or restricted areas as required by site policies.Document security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed written reports.Support a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence throughout the location.What We're Looking For :

Must possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.CPR certification is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Should be comfortable using a computer or tablet.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
