Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno, Advancement division is recruiting for a Content Strategist for Marketing Communications.

The Content Strategist reports to Director of Marketing and Communications for University Advancement. The Content Strategist is responsible for conceptualizing and developing meaningful content across multiple platforms, including the Nevada Silver & Blue magazine, donor-focused correspondence, websites, social media, email campaigns, and newsletters.

This position may write narrative prose, explanatory text, advertising copy, headlines and calls to action for various purposes such as fundraising appeals, donor communications, alumni engagement, event promotion, and impact reports.

The Content Strategist is also responsible for managing the University Advancement and Nevada Silver & Blue websites. This position serves as a marketing liaison between University Advancement and other University units, and works closely with and follows the direction set by the University’s Office of Marketing and Communication to align with the branding and overall marketing strategy and priorities of the University.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of professional work experience OR

Master’s Degree and two (2) years of professional work experience

Related Experience : Content development, writing, and copywriting, preferably in a University or non-profit setting or related experience.
