Senior Director of Data Science
South San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 2–3 days / week)
Full-Time | Base Salary : $250–275k + Bonus (Total Compensation : $315–345k)

Team & Scope
You'll manage a diverse team of 5 professionals, including :
End-to-end Data Scientists (including one with engineering specialization)An Analytics EngineerA Data Science AnalystThe team currently owns deployment pipelines and collaborates closely with product, engineering, and customer-facing functions. Over time, the focus will shift increasingly toward research, rapid prototyping, and emerging AI applications.

Core Experience
7+ years in data science or analytics (open to 5+ for standout candidates)3+ years in commercial healthcare or biopharma analytics (or similar consulting background)Experience managing a technical team (3 or more direct reports)Deep fluency in Python (Pandas, PySpark) and SQLApplied ML experience : classification, regression, NLP, experimentation, etc.Preferred Expertise
Experience with rare diseases, oncology, or other specialty therapiesFamiliarity with Snowflake, Airflow, and production data pipelinesPrior roles in data-centric consulting or healthcare product teamsPersonal Attributes
