Position Overview
The National Sales Manager will build, create and maintain relationships with sales representatives, new and pre-existing customers and churned accounts to drive growth and revenue. You will be responsible for creating a seamless experience that communicates our brand positioning and reinforces our spirit of innovation and values-driven purpose throughout all aspects of our operations.
We strongly prefer this person to be based in the Seattle area and work onsite 2-3 days per week (more during the initial training period).
Lantern Press provides full benefits, is located in the SoDo area of Seattle, and has plenty of free parking. We do not provide relocation assistance.
Responsibilities
As a hunter and gatherer, drive sales revenue through outside sales reps as well as direct sales to travel, hospitality and destination retailers.Manage, train, and develop outside sales reps.Achieve assigned sales goals and targets, including new accounts, sales growth, profit, volume, product mix, and other strategic goals.Become the expert in your territories and / or verticals, including customers, churned customers, themes, activities, culture, reps, etc.Build strong relationships with customers and reps, emphasizing partnership and long-term growth mentality.Generate new retail leads with both new and pre-existing customers and capture and onboard them.Work with pre-existing customers to mitigate churn and increase revenue by improving customer engagement and satisfaction.Regularly communicate and leverage new and existing artwork to increase ROI.Manage top-line growth and bottom-line profitability.Manage the holistic relationship with key partnerships including sell-through, product assortment selection, inventory planning, marketing strategy and execution, and pricing and product information management.Create deeper relationships with our customers to foster improved communication, strategic alignment, and vibrant business partnerships.Ability to work cross-functionally with Creative, Production and other departments.Travel to trade shows and customer sites as needed.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years sales experience, ideally in consumer products.Experience working with outside sales reps required; able to manage others, communicate expectations, create training materials and ensure performance goals are met through others.Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.Energetic, positive, kind, able to build genuine relationships, personable; have others want to work with you and trust you.Have a passion for art and the ability to communicate clearly and specifically about images and art.Strong attention to detail and ability to be organized; able to handle a high amount of email, phone, and chat communications with fast-paced response time in coordination with others, all while being very detail-oriented.Experience with sophisticated process, systems, technology, and able to inform improvements as we grow.Able to communicate clearly and professionally over email, phone and / or video call.Multidisciplinary sales & team player who is excited to roll up their sleeves and contribute to building our brand with their varied experience.Proven brand sales & communication skills for consumer goods or service-based companies.Ability to use sales experience in developing new sales channels and territories.Effective communicator, both written and verbal, who thrives in cross-functional collaboration.Sees feedback as an opportunity for growth and for open conversation.Passionate about contributing to the success of other Sales Managers, Customer Success Specialists and other team members – understanding that their success is your success.Organized, self-starter, comfortable with a fast-paced workflow, and excellent time management skills to meet assigned deadlines and perform within SLA.Able to use technology such as MS Office Products (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and sales tools (Salesforce preferred).Compensation and Benefits
There are several factors that we consider when determining the pay range for a position, such as market data (compared to companies of similar size, industry and revenue) and internal equity. To determine where a specific candidate falls in the range, we also consider relevant skills, experience and fit for the position.
The pay range for this position is : $90,000 – $165,000 plus variable pay.
