Director, Commercial Excellence Centre
Permanent - Remote, US – Directly report to the VP of US Commercial Strategy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to strengthen global commercial performance through sales enablement, training, process improvement, and data-driven insights.
- Act as a strategic partner to commercial leadership, develop and execute strategies that enhance revenue growth, operational agility, and long-term sustainability.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred.10+ years in commercial operations, sales excellence, or business strategy within genomics, synthetic biology, or broader life sciences.Demonstrated success in driving commercial transformation and implementing scalable sales enablement programs.Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership capabilities; proficiency in CRM and data analytics tools.Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to influence across global teams.Experience in a publicly traded or growth-stage life science company strongly preferred.Director's responsibilities will be
Create and execute comprehensive sales training and certification programs to elevate sales capabilities and commercial competencies.Develop and standardize sales methodologies and playbooks tailored to diverse customer segments.Deliver sales metrics, KPIs, and performance analytics to improve effectiveness and identify growth opportunities.Build and manage commercial analytics frameworks, forecasting models, and data visualization tools for real-time insights.Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to define and optimize commercial strategies across global markets.Oversee CRM systems, pipeline management, and lead-tracking mechanisms to improve conversion rates and forecasting accuracy.Champion a continuous improvement culture, driving adoption of best practices and operational excellence across commercial teams.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between go-to-market strategies and overall priorities and customer needs.Compensation
