Job Description
As Vice President, Voluntary Insurance, Sales & Account Management you'll be responsible for building and executing the sales and account management strategy to drive significant growth in our voluntary insurance business. In this executive level role, you'll architect and implement sales and account management strategies that push past expected outcomes. You'll lead teams who look to you for inspiration, direction, and the systems that enable their success and position the team and company for market leadership in the supplemental health and P&C insurance space.
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets for our voluntary insurance (worksite) business
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing quota-bearing sales teams focused on supplemental health and P&C insurance products
- Establish scalable sales processes, performance metrics, and accountability systems that drive consistent results
- Create effective territory management and account targeting methodologies to optimize market coverage
Account Management Excellence
Design and implement account management frameworks that maximize client retention and expansion opportunitiesDevelop structured account planning processes and service delivery models aligned with client segmentationLead quarterly business reviews and strategic account planning initiatives with key clientsImplement proactive retention strategies to minimize attrition and maximize client lifetime valueProcess Development & Optimization
Build the foundational sales and account management processes needed for sustainable growthImplement effective pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting methodologiesDevelop comprehensive sales playbooks, training programs, and enablement resourcesEstablish data-driven performance monitoring systems to continuously improve team effectivenessCross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Product and Carrier teams to ensure our insurance offerings meet market needsCollaborate with Marketing to develop compelling value propositions and sales materialsWork with Operations to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing service deliveryEngage with Finance / BI to develop accurate forecasting models and growth projectionsQualifications
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in insurance sales, with specific expertise in voluntary benefitsProven track record building and leading quota-exceeding sales teams to consistent revenue growthDeep knowledge of supplemental health insurance (accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity) and P&C productsDemonstrated success in establishing scalable sales processes and account management frameworksExperience selling to CHRO / Heads of Benefits and establishing broker relationshipStrong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into executable plansExcellent leadership skills with proven ability to recruit, develop and retain top sales talentDeep understanding of voluntary benefits market dynamics and competitive landscapeStrong analytical capabilities with experience using data to drive sales strategiesExceptional communication and relationship-building abilitiesBachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferredLicensed in P&C and Supplement HealthTravel 10-25%What Sets You Apart :
