A well-established law firm with a strong healthcare practice is seeking a senior-level Health Law / Medical Malpractice Attorney to join its Kansas City office. This role is ideal for an experienced attorney who enjoys complex litigation, values client relationships, and is looking for long-term professional growth within a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do
Defend physicians, hospitals, healthcare systems, and other providers in medical malpractice matters
Handle all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation
Advise healthcare clients on risk management and regulatory-adjacent issues tied to litigation
Work closely with partners and junior attorneys while serving as a key point of contact for clients
Take on meaningful responsibility with the opportunity to mentor associates (for counsel-level candidates)
What We’re Looking For
Senior Associate (6–8+ years) or Counsel-level experience
Strong background in medical malpractice defense; health law experience strongly preferred
Deposition and motion practice experience required; trial experience is a plus
Licensed and in good standing in Missouri (or ability to obtain)
Excellent writing, analytical, and client-facing skills
