Maintenance Mechanic III

Job Summary :

The Sr Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintenance of all equipment and facilities at the distribution center, with an emphasis on the conveyor and sorter systems.

Responsibilities :

• Performs routine and preventive maintenance for all warehouse and office equipment to ensure proper operating conditions. Equipment includes conveyors, racking, lighting, security, forklifts, material handling equipment, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
• Maintains logs of all preventive and breakdown maintenance performed on conveyors, forklifts, and fire-protection systems.
• Performs light janitorial duties and other duties as assigned.
• Completes tasks assigned by maintenance supervisor / manager. Ensures that all tasks are completed in a safe, timely, and correct manner.
• Frequently lifts and carries up to 40 lbs.
• Maintains positive open lines of communication with all management, staff, and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.
• 5% Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Work Environment Requirements :

Distribution Center : Typical warehouse environment, regularly works around moving mechanical parts in conditions that include exposure to heat, cold, dust, odors / fumes, noise. May operate computer, other equipment / tools or powered warehouse equipment.

Other Physical Requirements :

DC : Requires ability to be continuously stationary or moving about, communicate with others to exchange information; Frequently adjust / move items up to 50 lbs.; Occasionally operate vehicle / equipment. Detailed physical requirements document on file.
