Travel CT / Xray- Minnesota
American Consultants is looking for a travel CT / Xray for a facility in Minnesota. This shift is from 7am-5pm with rotating call on the weekends.
Position Overview
The Travel CT / X-Ray Technologist provides diagnostic imaging services to patients across diverse healthcare facilities. This role involves temporary assignments (typically 8–13 weeks) where the technologist operates CT scanners and X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Flexibility, adaptability, and strong technical skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT scans and diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders and facility protocolsPosition patients safely and accurately to obtain optimal imaging resultsOperate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safety standardsReview images for quality assurance and collaborate with radiologists for interpretationMaintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic health systemsAdhere to radiation safety guidelines and infection control practicesProvide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures and addressing concernsAdapt quickly to new healthcare environments and workflowsAssist with emergency imaging needs as requiredQualifications
Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT)Valid state license(s) as required by assignment locationMinimum of 1–2 years of recent CT / X-ray experience in hospital or clinical settingsBLS certification required; ACLS preferred depending on facilityStrong technical proficiency with imaging equipment and PACS systemsExcellent communication and patient care skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamAbout American Consultants
