Your Role : High School English Language Arts Teacher
Are you passionate about literature and eager to inspire high school students? As an English Language Arts (ELA) teacher at Uncommon Schools, you will create an engaging and rigorous classroom culture that prepares students for college and beyond. You will become an expert in your course content and develop innovative strategies to motivate and inspire your students.
At the heart of our English classes is a focus on reading and student-led discourse. You will ignite a passion for literature and promote strong voice and agency within your students, ensuring they leave your classroom ready for the academic rigor of college coursework and a lifelong love of literacy.

Compensation
Compensation for this role ranges from $50,000 to $64,700 , determined by factors such as relevant teaching experience, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Candidates without full-time teaching experience will likely start at $50,000.
