Core Responsibilities of the High School Math Teacher
- Develop and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with state and school curriculum standards for grades 9-12.
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that accommodates and values student diversity, learning needs, and backgrounds.
- Incorporate a range of teaching strategies, educational technology, and resources to meet students' varying abilities and learning styles.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely, constructive feedback to promote math achievement.
- Differentiate instruction to support all learners, including those who require additional challenges or supports.
- Foster analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and mathematical thinking through real-world applications and collaborative work.
- Communicate regularly and proactively with families / guardians about student progress and opportunities for support and enrichment.

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance in accordance with school policies.

Qualifications for High School Math Teacher Position
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.New York State teaching certification for secondary mathematics (grades 7-12) is required.Experience teaching high school math subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and / or Calculus is highly valued.Comprehensive understanding of the New York State Mathematics Learning Standards and best practices for high school math instruction.Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and ensure all learners feel valued and included.Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills for engaging effectively with students, families, and faculty.Commitment to equity, inclusive education, and the academic and personal growth of every student.Proficiency with instructional technology, digital resources, and remote learning strategies.Adaptability, initiative, and enthusiasm for developing creative solutions to educational challenges.Join a Supportive and Innovative Charter School Community
