Emerging Technologies Specialist

Our team is looking for an Emerging Technologies Specialist to join them. You will report to the Intelligence and Automation Manager and will have a hybrid work structure in Creedmoor, North Carolina, Chatsworth, California, or Miramar, Florida.
To be considered for the Emerging Technologies Specialist opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you :
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying UiPath-based automation solutions (preferably in on-premises enterprise environments).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate, particularly within M365 ecosystems, SharePoint, and Teams integrations.
- Technical literacy in AI / ML, including model selection, prompt engineering, and risk evaluation; exposure to LLMs is a plus.
- Background in manufacturing or aerospace environments, with understanding of high-mix, low-volume operations and the role of automation within them.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct as-is / to-be process mapping, facilitate workshops, and drive stakeholder alignment.
- Strong understanding of automation governance, exception handling, and compliance controls in regulated industries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
- Strong vendor management skills with a track record of successful implementation through external technology partners.
- Experience managing pilot projects, MVPs, and scaling initiatives from concept to deployment.
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., computer science, engineering, statistics).
- Agile mindset with a strong desire to stay ahead of technology curves and emerging digital tools.
As an Emerging Technologies Specialist, you will :
Lead the design, development, and implementation of on-premises UiPath RPA solutions, working closely with business stakeholders to automate manual workflows and validate ROI.Identify and qualify business opportunities where RPA, AI, or intelligent automation can enhance productivity, accuracy, or scalability.Define and maintain an emerging technology roadmap in alignment with Ontic's broader digital transformation strategy.Deliver and oversee end-to-end pilot projects and proofs of concept, rapidly iterating with stakeholders to validate new technology use cases before scale-up.Serve as a bridge between business users, process owners, and technical teamstranslating needs into automation opportunities and executable workflows.Evaluate the suitability of Power Automate for business-led automation scenarios, particularly within Microsoft 365 environments.Provide thought leadership in identifying and assessing AI / ML opportunities, including use of GPT-based models, computer vision, and predictive analytics.Document and map current-state and future-state processes to inform automation design and promote business ownership of solutions.Support change management and training activities to build organizational competency in RPA and AI adoption, including governance, risk, and compliance.Maintain strong vendor relationships with RPA and AI providers and ensure Ontic is well-positioned to benefit from product updates, best practices, and support.Actively monitor technological trends and evaluate their relevance to Ontic's business and industry.Our Benefits :
