Join a global leader in manufacturing and flow control solutions at our Woodridge, IL facility. As a CNC Turning Setup Machinist, you will turn raw stock into precision components that meet exacting specifications. This is a direct hire position with competitive hourly pay, a 10% shift differential, a 5% annual bonus, and full benefits starting Day 1.
Your Day
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to run production and one-off parts with tight tolerances.
- Study blueprints and drawings, apply GD&T, and choose the right tooling and offsets for the job.
- Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and depth gauges to verify first-article and in-process results.
- Monitor cycle performance, make adjustments to maintain quality and throughput, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Perform routine maintenance and assist with minor repairs to keep equipment in top condition.
- Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized to 5S standards.
- Coordinate with teammates and leads to hit quality and production targets.
What You Bring
High school diploma or GED.2+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.Demonstrated CNC lathe setup and operation experience.Ability to read technical drawings and apply geometric tolerances.Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, depth gauges).Reliable transportation to Woodridge, IL, and the ability to work 2nd shift.Preferred Extras
CNC programming experience (preferred, not required).Manual machining background.Technical training or machining certification.Experience in a large manufacturing or repair shop.Why You Will Love It Here
