Sales Representative

Chesapeake, VA - Chesapeake, VA - Full Time

The Hiller Companies, Inc. is a national leader in the fire protection and security industry and has an immediate opening for a highly qualified Sales Representative in our Chesapeake, VA office.

Duties / responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Call on new and existing customers to survey, promote, quote and sell our full offerings of fire protection products, systems and services
  • Prepare estimates for the above offerings and submit proposals to customers
  • Timely followup on all quotes
  • Maintain quotes in our Service Trade Software Platform
  • Coordinate with our Engineering, Service and Production Departments to insure a thorough transfer of information once sale is complete and ready for scheduling

Skills & Abilities :

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Bachelors degree preferred with at least 2 years of proven work experience or 3-5 years of proven work experience if Bachelors degree is not fulfilled.
  • Previous fire protection experience is required. NICET Certification is a plus!
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to learn, interpret and apply local fire codes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and English language fluency
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management skills are required
  • Previous experience estimating fire protection services and / or systems
  • Excellent team working ability to ensure smooth turnover of details once service is sold
  • Must be able to work closely and well with others in a team environment

Working Hours :

Normal working hours are Monday thru Friday 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Additional hours as needed.
