Senior Collections Specialist (Temporary-to-Hire)

About the Role :
Our client, a construction company in Pasadena, is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist to join their team on a temporary-to-hire basis. This role is critical in ensuring timely collections and maintaining strong customer relationships. You will manage past-due accounts, resolve billing disputes, and collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes.
Key Responsibilities :
Notify customers of past-due balances through multiple channels : notices, mass mailings, emails, and phone calls.
Handle customer inquiries regarding outstanding invoices, including sending requested documents via fax or email.
Research and resolve invoice disputes; revise, adjust, or credit invoices as necessary.
Collaborate with the Manager to address issues related to field operations, dispatch, or billing that impacts collections.
Prepare lien releases to facilitate payment.
Process credits and adjustments for incorrect invoices, warranty-related work, and other issues.
Generate weekly credit agenda reports for collection calls and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Credit & Collections Manager.
Position Requirements :
Experience : 3–5 years in customer service and commercial collections (construction or contracting industry preferred).
Skills :
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external customers
Capacity to manage a heavy workload efficiently
Pay Details : $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
