Job Description
Lead development or redesign of mechanical productsAssuming responsibility for execution of activities including mechanical design, mechanical analysis, engineering documentation, costing, and schedulingDevelop and / or supervise design concepts, calculations, layouts, parts, assemblies, pneumatic schematics, and detail drawingsEnsure that drawings, documentation and BOMs meet company, industry and customer standardsMonitor and provide mechanical engineering support during the flow of a design through fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioningWork with design group to resolve product-related issues and ensure resolution of manufacturing problemsWork closely with Procurement to ensure a timely order of materialsDevelop and maintain good customer relations and provide technical support to the customerAbility to troubleshoot, repair and modify existing designsComplex problem-solving skills : Identify problems, evaluate options, and implement solutionsJudgment and decision-making skills : considering the costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate oneFamiliarity with electro-mechanical products and / or processes and ability to optimize designs for manufacturingProven 2D / 3D CAD skills (AutoCAD and CREO 20.4 / WindChill)PC Skills and able to use Microsoft productsRequirements
BS Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of experience in machine design, preferably in material handling industrySeniority level Mid-Senior level
