Overview
Our client, a leading North American wire and cable producer, is seeking a Corporate Reliability Engineer to champion and support the implementation of reliability best practices across multiple manufacturing sites. This role plays a key part in driving equipment reliability, maintainability, and performance through the development, standardization, and deployment of innovative reliability programs and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with plant maintenance teams and the Maintenance Systems group to identify, evaluate, and implement improvements aligned with the companys Reliability and Maintainability Roadmap.
Develop and mentor plant reliability engineers to strengthen their analytical and maintenance system capabilities.
Serve as a subject matter expert in Root Cause Analysis (RCA)providing guidance, training, and leadership across the organization.
Support Management of Change (MOC) processes and participate in early equipment design to ensure maintainability and reliability at commissioning.
Lead assigned reliability projects, ensuring effectiveness from planning through deployment.
Standardize and optimize preventive maintenance programs across similar asset types.
Audit plant adherence to roadmap milestones and recommend actions for advancement.
Act as a CMMS expert, providing user training and ensuring data accuracy and process consistency.
Develop and maintain documentation outlining reliability policies, procedures, and best practices.
Promote a culture of proactive maintenance, emphasizing :
Planned corrective maintenance over reactive maintenance.
Time-based preventive maintenance over planned corrective actions.
Condition-based maintenance over time-based maintenance.
Maintenance prevention as the optimal long-term strategy.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering required.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused on reliability and maintainability.
Strong knowledge of reliability methodologies including FMECA, RCA, RCM, and TPM.
Proven ability to train and lead teams in reliability engineering activities.
Familiarity with condition-based and predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, oil analysis, and electrical circuit analysis.
