Environment, Health and Safety Manager Fairfield, CA
A leading manufacturing facility in Fairfield, California is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee all aspects of environmental compliance, health, and safety at the site. The EHS Manager will drive a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement programs to promote employee well?being and environmental responsibility.
Responsibilities include :
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS policies, programs, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, Cal / OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Lead and manage incident investigations, including root cause analysis, documentation, and implementation of corrective actions
- Track and report EHS metrics, including injury rates, environmental compliance data, and leading safety indicators
- Coordinate employee safety training and onboarding for all levels of personnel; ensure training programs are current and effective
- Manage site environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste management, air and water permitting, spill prevention, and sustainability initiatives
- Serve as the sites primary contact for regulatory agencies and corporate EHS representatives
- Partner with operations and maintenance teams to ensure safety is integrated into daily processes and capital projects
- Oversee emergency response planning and preparedness, including drills and response team coordination
- Stay current on EHS legislation, emerging risks, and industry best practices
- Lead internal EHS committees and promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Manage and maintain all required EHS documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping
- Support ISO or other certification audits and site?specific compliance initiatives
Qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial settingIn?depth knowledge of OSHA, Cal / OSHA, and EPA regulationsStrong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organizationExperience developing and delivering EHS training programsFamiliarity with EHS management systems and reporting toolsEHS certifications (CSP, CHMM, etc.) preferred but not required#J-18808-Ljbffr
