Summary :

In this role, the Associate Vice President, Product Strategy & Management, will shape the vision and strategy for analytical tools and offerings within Vizient's Spend Management portfolio, driving innovation and measurable impact for members and partners. This leader will guide product development, integration, and lifecycle management, ensuring solutions deliver tangible value and adoption across the healthcare landscape. You will partner closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams translating market opportunities and member needs into scalable, high-impact products.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the vision and strategy within a major Vizient Spend Management portfolio, aligning product direction with organizational goals and member needs.
  • Manage a high-performing team of product directors and managers, fostering collaboration and excellence.
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle, from ideation and business case development through launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive innovation in procurement, cost management, and supply chain optimization solutions, leveraging SaaS and data-driven insights.
  • Participate in the development of Vizient's first AI roadmap within the Spend Management portfolio, establishing a clear vision for how artificial intelligence and advanced analytics can transform procurement, cost management, and supply chain strategies creating scalable solutions that drive measurable

impact for our members.

  • Partner with senior leadership, member councils, and cross-functional teams to translate market trends and customer feedback into actionable roadmaps.
  • Ensure seamless integration across product lines to deliver a unified, high-value experience for healthcare providers and suppliers.
  • Manage portfolio financials, revenue growth strategies, and profitability targets.
  • Present strategies, updates, and outcomes to executives, member steering committees, and external stakeholders with clarity and influence.
  • Champion customer-centric strategies by leveraging persona development, journey mapping, and Voice of Customer insights.
  • Monitor competitive intelligence, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to maintain differentiation and compliance.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with vendors, third parties, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Promote best practices in product management, agile execution, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure consistent delivery and member value.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Engineering, Data Science, or related field preferred (MBA or advanced degree desired).
  • 10 or more years of experience in product management required, with a focus on healthcare, procurement, or data analytics.
  • Experience with or understanding of Healthcare Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), procurement, supply chain, and the healthcare industry's regulatory landscape preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams, and influence cross-functional groups to achieve product and organizational goals.
  • Strong experience managing budgets, forecasting, and driving product profitability.
  • Familiarity with SaaS solutions, data analytics platforms, and emerging healthcare technologies. Strong understanding of cloud-based solutions and technical architecture desired.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and a passion for creating solutions that address complex challenges in healthcare procurement and operations.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and align stakeholders at all levels.

    Estimated Hiring Range :

    At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00.

    This position is also incentive eligible.
