Biomedical Device Consultants & Laboratories (www.bdclabs.com) is a fast-growing company that offers comprehensive medical device testing services, designs verification test equipment, and produces silicone mock vessels to the medical device community in support of domestic and international regulatory submissions and approvals. Our primary focus is cardiovascular technologies such as endovascular stents, prosthetic heart valves, and catheters. As a small company, BDC's environment is fast-paced, dynamic, challenging, and rewarding.

Your day as a Biomedical Business Development Specialist

As a Full-Time Biomedical Business Development Specialist at BDC Laboratories in Wheat Ridge, CO, you will embark on an exhilarating journey to enhance our presence in the cardiovascular medical device space. Your mission? Engage directly with our valued customers on-site to grasp their current and future needs, unveiling opportunities for additional services and product upgrades. You'll be our pioneer, seeking out start-ups eager to partner with a trusted resource for device testing and equipment.

With a robust sales strategy, you’ll generate leads through cold calls, emails, and industry events, while conducting compelling product presentations to showcase our innovative solutions. Your expertise will be vital in assessing customer requirements and driving tailored offerings that exceed expectations. By leveraging CRM tools, maintaining an active sales pipeline, and fostering relationships, you'll play a critical role in our growth while navigating the exciting landscape of biotechnology!

A Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific, Business, or Marketing field will set the foundation, but your proven experience in B2B sales, particularly within the laboratory, life sciences, or technology sectors, is what will drive your success. A remarkable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas is paramount, alongside a knack for prospecting and securing new business in competitive arenas. You’ll need to be a self-starter, capable of navigating both independent and collaborative environments with ease. Quick comprehension of technical product offerings is crucial, as is the ability to build strong professional relationships with clients in technical and R&D fields.

Your organizational prowess, combined with exceptional analytical, verbal, and written skills, ensures you can effectively communicate industry trends. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite rounds out the toolkit for this exciting role!

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Scientific, Business or Marketing field
  • Proven experience in B2B sales ideally in the laboratory life sciences or technology industries.
  • Strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
  • Experience with prospecting cold calling and acquiring new business in a competitive environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand technical product offerings and their applications and to disseminate this information to prospects.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish and develop strong professional relationships with customers specializing in technical and R&D fields.
  • Ability to recognize interpret and communicate changes in industry standards practices and market trends.
  • Must be organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities strong verbal and writing skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software (HubSpot etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in medical devices laboratory or scientific sales is a plus.
