Supply Chain Operations Director
As Supply Chain Operations Director, you will be responsible for leading the manufacturing network of Integrated Fabrication Systems (IFS) in the locations of Jurez, Chihuahua, Guadalajara (Mexico), and Austin and Nashville (USA), reporting to the Executive Director Global IFS Supply Chain. Your mission will be to drive a culture of continuous improvement, quality, zero incidents, and operational excellence, with a profile focused 100% on the automation of processes. You will need to establish robust process controls in inventories, production and delivery goals, ensuring effective communication with business leaders, integration of best practices, and adaptation of the competitive environment to the performance of the supply chain.
Why We Need You
To lead all industrial packaging manufacturing activities in the network of plants, aligned with the business plan and strategic objectives.
Manage the fulfillment of orders, outbound logistics, distribution, and export management of finished products.
Direct the strategic and tactical management of purchases, execution of acquisitions, inbound logistics, and import processes.
Manage the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process, collaborating closely with supply chain leaders.
Prepare the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
Supervise staff, their training, discipline, and compliance with corporate policies, systems, and tools.
Lead or participate in strategic or tactical projects for supply chain improvement, including CAPEX projects.
Support R&D activities across the network of sites.
Meet the performance indicators of the supply chain : safety, sustainability, service, quality, costs, delivery times, among others.
Manage product inventory levels and obsolescence.
Be responsible for the operational budget of the supply chain, including freight costs.
Collaborate with senior management to set short-term and long-term production and service goals.
Establish annual budgets and capital projects (CAPEX).
Coordinate with functional leaders to define material, personnel, equipment, and space needs, as well as to develop processes and procedures.
Communicate the strategic objectives of the company to the IFS network.
Evaluate operational performance and adjust resources to optimize efficiency, service quality, and market share.
Review key business performance reports.
Collaborate with the leadership team on knowledge of sector trends and best practices.
Supervise the team in charge of daily operations, providing strategic direction and solving complex problems.
Ensure regulatory compliance of products in conjunction with the global regulations area.
Supervise training across the IFS network, ensuring compliance with policies and audits.
Integrate and maintain Six Sigma concepts and tools.
Coordinate production plans with sales, engineering, procurement, supply chain, and other functions.
Serve as a liaison between different departments to resolve manufacturing and production issues.
What You Need To Succeed
Solid knowledge in manufacturing, quality, procurement, and industrial safety.
Ability to lead direct and indirect teams, including work assignment, coaching, development, and decision-making.
Mastery of project management.
Exceptional communication and influence skills, from the shop floor to the top management.
Strategic leadership and tactical execution capabilities.
Proficiency in tools such as MS Office, ERP systems (Visual and / or SAP), process mapping, and Lean Six Sigma.
Minimum Green Belt certification (or equivalent training with an implemented project).
High organization, planning, and facilitation skills.
Strategic mindset, adaptable decision-making, inspirational leadership, and focus on talent development.
