Auxo Recruitment is seeking a creative Design Director with expertise in gamification to join a rapidly growing Series B sports tech startup that is currently disrupting the fitness industry.

Position Overview :
As the Director of Design, you will lead the design team in leveraging gamification principles to enhance user engagement, retention, and satisfaction across our iOS and Android apps.
Drawing on your expertise, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement compelling gamification features that drive desired user actions and outcomes.
In addition to your creative leadership, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring your team, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of gamification projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design team in developing gamification strategies and mechanics that align with business objectives and user needs.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define gamification requirements, goals, and success metrics.
- Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces, feedback systems, progress indicators, and reward structures to enhance user motivation and enjoyment.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to iterate on gamification designs and optimize user experiences.
- Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in gamification and user experience design.
- Manage the design team's workload, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster their growth and professional development.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in designing gamified experiences for mobile apps, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful iOS and Android projects.
- Strong expertise in UX / UI Design
- Deep understanding of gamification principles, game mechanics, and player motivation theories.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and empower a team to achieve excellence.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in an agile development environment, with a focus on iterative design and rapid prototyping.
- Passion for user experience design, gamification, and leveraging technology to create meaningful and impactful experiences.
