GPI is seeking a full-time Highway Design Project Manager for our growing Transportation Group in our Boston, MA office. We are looking for an individual that is ready to work collectively with a multi-discipline team of engineers in a dynamic office environment on interesting and challenging projects. Projects in our New England offices involve varying types of roadway, bridge, intersection, and trail designs with a focus on complete streets projects. GPI understands the significant responsibility we have as engineers to provide safe, unique, and context-sensitive transportation solutions to the many communities and clients we serve. GPI offers flexible work schedules with the ability to split time between working in the office and from home. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Ability to take the primary supervisory role in the design and development of Plans, Specifications and Estimates for transportation projects under the oversight of the Director of Transportation Engineering.
• Supervising / mentoring team members in the development of transportation design projects.
• Producing designs in AutoCAD Civil 3D and / or providing technical design guidance to other team members.
• Developing project contracts, schedules, and budgets.
• Managing projects for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), City of Boston, and / or other Massachusetts municipal clients.
• Presenting highway related design elements to clients and stakeholders.
• Assisting with quality control of construction plans and design documents generated by other team members to ensure quality objectives are met.
