We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team in Denver, CO .

How will you contribute to the team?

As a key team member with extensive experience in highway, transit, or other similar heavy civil projects you will develop cost estimates utilizing a bottoms-up approach. In addition to bottoms-up estimating developing concept level estimates at each design milestone through final project design with an attention to detail for the scope elements that have changed at each design milestone. May provide support to clients in the research, review, and analysis of construction claims.

• At least five years of experience using HeavyBid software.
• Ability to provide Class I through IV estimates, following industry best practices.
• Understanding of typical labor, equipment, and materials needed to complete a particular scope of work.
• Must have the ability to understand what impacts pricing including: location, type of work, and quantity.
• Supervises & prepares construction cost estimates for heavy civil projects (transportation focused) by performing and reviewing quantity takeoffs and pricing.
• Ability to work independently and manage communication and deadlines with internal and external clients.
• Reviews and comments on estimates prepared by others.
• Evaluates project scope change orders and negotiates settlement based on review of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Performs or assists with project constructability and value engineering reviews.
• May perform one-off or unique cost exercises based on request from a Project Manager or Client.
• Develops, prepares, and recommends company guidelines on estimating.
• May research, review and analyze data to assist clients with construction claims.
• May perform such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

What will you contribute?

• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline with preference for Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other technical discipline. At least 8 years relevant experience. Extensive experience working for or with major Heavy Civil Contractors a plus.

Expected compensation range is between $130,000 - $155,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.

Upon acceptance of an offer, all candidates must go through a drug screen test and background check. AtkinsRéalis is a federal contractor which mandates a satisfactory background screening report and drug test that supersedes state laws.
