Sales Assistant (New York)

About the Role

Looking to grow your career in fashion sales? Amerex Group is searching for a Sales Assistant to join our Ladies Outerwear team. This role is all about being the backbone of the teamkeeping things running smoothly behind the scenes while also getting hands-on with buyers, samples, and showroom prep. What Youll Do

Keep the sales team organized by managing appointments and maintaining the market calendar

Prep for market meetings by organizing samples, setting up the showroom, and compiling reports

Support sales meetings : take notes, track action items, and keep follow-ups on point

Ensure the team has updated daily selling reports (with photos + available-for-sale inventory)

Review account orders, work with operations on order processing / EDI, and track shipments to keep orders on time

Maintain the showroom so its always market-ready

Organize, label, track, and ship samples for buyers and for in-house photo shoots

Distribute marketing photos and product details to retailers

Manage account style lists and e-comm product descriptions

Handle daily communication with retailers, including retailer-specific documents (Features & Benefits, Macys NRF rollups, Nordstrom SSC quality checks, etc.)

What Were Looking For

Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience)

At least 1 year of fashion industry experience

Excellent time-management and multitasking skills

Sharp eye for detail and strong customer service mindset

Creative problem-solver who can stay cool under pressure

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Solid Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus)

Familiarity with Dropbox, WeTransfer, and Illustrator

Ability to be on your feet, move sample cartons, and handle showroom logistics with ease
