TITLE : Engineer

DEPARTMENT : Engineering Department

REPORTS TO : Chief Engineer / AGM / General Manager / Principles

FLSA : Non-exempt

Position Summary

This position will be part of a team that is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the hotel building facility. Duties include preventive maintenance of equipment, complete operating logs on equipment, operation of mechanical systems such as Chillers, Pumps, Air Handlers, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Job Summary

  • Ensure that the hotel equipment is functioning properly.
  • Diagnose operating issues.
  • Communicate any operating concerns to chief engineer.
  • Run periodic tests on hotel operating equipment.
  • Document testing logs as required.
  • Work in team setting.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

  • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems.
  • Ability to make repairs on Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC system.
  • Have good guest relationship skills.
  • Self-motivator, work well with others.
  • Some carpentry skills as well as paint.
  • Demonstrated verbal and some written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, decision making skills, as well as continuous improvement process skills.
