Job description

Senior Manager, Marketing

Thermo Fisher Scientific aims to empower customers to enhance global health and safety. Seeking a dynamic marketing leader to drive brand narrative and expand influence in Protein Diagnostics for North America.

Taking on the position of Senior Manager, Marketing, you will be instrumental in crafting a vision for aligning marketing with science, strategy, and storytelling. Your mission will involve nurturing a culture that prizes innovation, insights driven by data, and elevating the customer journeyguiding our teams in realizing innovative ideas that enhance patient results.

You will balance strategy and practical tasks in this role. Crafting marketing strategies, guiding a dedicated team, and collaborating globally to drive growth are key aspects.

You will directly report to the Commercial Leader, North America, and have a significant impact on the North America Leadership Team. The current organization consists of approximately 10 employees, with intentions to grow the marketing and product management team in FY26.

What You'll Do

Shape the Marketing Vision

  • Create and activate an inspiring marketing strategy that advances our scientific leadership and connects our brand to customer purpose.
  • Translate business objectives into marketing strategies that generate awareness, engagement, and demand throughout North America.
  • Collaborate with Global Marketing to synchronize product introductions and go-to-market plans that generate quantifiable results.
  • Guide the team in building strong value propositions that resonate with customers and fuel business growth.

Inspire Storytelling & Thought Leadership

  • Lead development of content and campaigns that highlight Thermo Fisher Scientific as an innovator in protein diagnostics.
  • Develop straightforward, persuasive stories that demystify complex science and communicate value to customers and interested parties.
  • Build visibility for the brand through data-informed campaigns, engaging digital experiences, and thought leadership moments.
  • Accelerate Growth Through Insights

  • Use data and analytics to find opportunities, track performance, and refine marketing strategies for maximum impact.
  • Lead demand generation efforts that increase market reach and customer engagement.
  • Nurture a culture of trial and education that respects originality, inquisitiveness, and perpetual advancement.

  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team that thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or life sciences.
  • 7+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years leading teams.
  • Proven success in building integrated marketing strategies and go-to-market plans for scientific or healthcare markets.
  • Experience working in matrixed global organizations and influencing across functions.
  • Strong digital marketing expertise and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional storytelling, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Compensation and Benefits : The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00$200,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and / or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
