This position encompasses the audit of all engines during various stages of the build process. The main responsibilities include auditing engines for compliance to the appropriate documentation; accurately recording all engine non-conformances in the AQE system and communicating found engine non-conformances to the appropriate person for repair. This person will work closely with all assembly personnel, support groups, and assembly management to meet product quality goals and objectives and will at times assist in quality functions outside of the audit process. This position will rotate throughout various quality gates in the assembly areas and will therefore require that the individual train in multiple areas.
Job duties / responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :
Learning Caterpillar systems and using them appropriately (MESA, AQE, etc.)

Basic qualifications :
Torque concept
Gauging skills
Quality experience
Engine knowledge
Print reading skills
Basic computer skills
Top candidates will also :
Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands.
Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus.
Physical requirements :
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat.
Stand on concrete for 8+ hours.

Location of this position is in Lafayette, IN
Position available is on 3rd shift : 10 : 30 PM to 6 : 30 AM (Will complete training on 1st or 3rd shift)

Summary pay range : $22.65 - $29.45 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
