Position : Senior Project Manager (Construction exp required!!!)
Location : 80% Remote, 20% Onsite (Central Alabama)
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
Summary
The Senior Project Manager leads the project management team, driving profitability, efficiency, and strategic alignment across multiple large-scale woodworking projects. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and communicating with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and completion.
The ideal candidate is a disciplined, results-oriented leader with deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards under tight deadlines. This position requires the ability to make clear, timely decisions, enforce policies and procedures, and develop team members through structured coaching and delegation. Job Duties & Responsibilities
Lead all assigned projects from award to completion, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and profitabilityDirect and align PMs and APMs on responsibilities, workflows, and performance expectationsHold regular check-ins with PMs / APMs for progress updates, coaching, and issue resolutionCoordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Installation teams for seamless executionMonitor project schedules, milestones, and adherence to SOPs, including Work Order Date and Change Order managementCommunicate proactively with clients to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and resolve issuesReview budgets, control expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities to improve profitabilityManage change orders, invoicing, billing accuracy, and expense reporting per company policyEnsure financial data accuracy with Accounting; verify PB&S tagging and schedule alignmentPlan procurement, production, and shipment schedules to support timely installationsConfirm jobsite readiness and collaborate with Installation Team to address issuesIdentify long-lead materials and plan for complex production timelines; coordinate field dimensions as neededReview shop drawings for accuracy before customer approval and production releaseBuild strong relationships with customers, vendors, and stakeholdersConduct performance reviews, provide training, and ensure compliance with SOPsReport critical updates and strategic recommendations to the Director of Project ManagementDrive process improvements and efficiency initiatives across departmentsMaintain high attention to detail while managing multiple large, complex projectsDelegate tasks effectively, guide APMs, and foster collaboration across PM teamsEducation
Two-year degree, or higher, from a technical school, college or university is requiredRelevant experience can be considered as an equivalent to a degreeExperience
Seven or more years’ experience within the woodworking, manufacturing, or construction industry is preferredExtensive prior experience in and strong business knowledge of the construction and woodworking industry required.Computer Requirements
