We are seeking a midlevel Real Estate associate to join the Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will have four to five years of real estate transactional and development experience, including experience in the preparation of purchase and sale agreements, real estate development documentation, title and survey review, and lender side finance representation. Real estate joint venture, finance, leasing, planned community and condominium, and manufacturing and multi-family experience are pluses. Any experience with economic incentives would also be helpful. The Real Estate practice at K&L Gates is a broad practice focusing on foreign in bound companies, real estate investors, developers, and lenders, and the candidate will be required to draft purchase and sale agreements, real estate development documentation, due diligence and agreements particular to the industrial and technology industries, as well as for sport facilities.

Candidates will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact. Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We have a large international practice and require strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service.

Base Compensation $265,000 - $ 310,000 / year

The compensation salary for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
