We are currently hiring a full time Patient Accounts Rep for Fremont Hospital!
The Patient Account Rep is responsible for the effective and creative use of proven follow-up techniques, and self-directed initiative, to contact patients and third party payers to collect payments and resolve outstanding account balances. The Patient Account Rep responsibility includes the oversight and management of outstanding accounts receivable assigned to the Collector in a manner which will maximize the collection of cash and achieve the hospital’s financial and business office performance objectives. The Patient Account Rep will work closely with collection agencies to organize the placement and recovery of bad debts. The Patient Account Rep is an integral part of the Business Office team and is responsible for ensuring that cash collections are maximized while the level of outstanding accounts receivable is maintained at or above defined targets. The Patient Account Rep is responsible for gathering and communicating critical information which will enable the hospital to meet all known payer requirements and thereby minimize the risk of payment reduction or denial.

Qualifications
Education:
- Must have a high school diploma.
Experience:
- Prefer two (2) years experience in a multi-faceted business office preferably in a health-care setting.
- Knowledge and experience with collections procedures and insurance coverage plans are preferred.
- Must have strong written and verbal skills; ability to deal effectively with all levels of hospital management and the public.
- Must be able to demonstrate average to high math skills. Prior experience with on-line Admission/Billing system desirable.
Additional Requirements:
- You may be required to successfully complete the Fremont Hospital’s non- violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training course within days of employment and prior to assisting with preventative intervention measures.
- You may be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
