Job Summary This position is a Plant Technician – Operations located at the H.A. Wagner natural gas and oil fired generating station in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance for all plant equipment. Rotating 12‑hour shifts, holidays, and overtime are required. Responsibilities Ensure safety procedures are followed and maintain compliance with regulations. Perform preventive maintenance, tests, and round‑trips on plant equipment. Document maintenance activities and assist with training of other employees. Identify equipment or system problems, recommend solutions, and help modify operating procedures. Requisition parts and supplies as needed. Support plant operator qualifications training program and emergency response duties. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications & Experience Minimum vocational training or mechanical experience; preferred 5 years in a power plant. Hands‑on experience with power plant operations and maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and instrument & controls. High school graduate or equivalent vocational training. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards. Stationary Engineer license preferred for experienced candidates. Physical and Mental Demands Work requires mobility, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and ability to operate in adverse weather and high‑temperature conditions.
