Production Associate

Position Summary

In this job you will operate and set up machinery to produce polyurethane couplings that range in a wide variety of sizes and configurations. You can expect to partner with other departments to ensure machines function properly, and that quality standards are met for the parts being produced.

Responsibilities

• Repair and wax molds for surface imperfections.
• Move and position mold sections using lift tables.
• Brush wax on to mold sections to facilitate removal of molded couplings from their cast molds.
• Lift upper mold sections from lower sections and remove molded parts.
• Visually inspect parts to ensure quality.
• Distribute molded parts to appropriate bins in saw department.
• Accurately cast molding materials into molds by using automated equipment.
• Monitor the temperature of molds.
• Monitor multiple aspects of automated casting equipment including but not limited to pressure gauges, material levels, and temperatures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skill Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of molding experience preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Able to effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
• Detail oriented with time management skills.
• Ability to document and record basic information.
• Knowledge of and ability to solve problems that have standard solutions.
• Basic problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

• A 40-hour work week (Monday through Friday).
• Overtime may be required as needed to meet production demands, including working Saturdays.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and stretching.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 35 pounds at a time, including up to 50 pounds with assistance.
