What You Will Do
As the Warehouse Logistics Specialist, there will be no typical day and you will start your time here at GSI drinking from a fire hose as you soak up the information needed to be successful. You are a key contributor responsible for a wide variety of logistic and equipment loading duties that directly supports the construction function for all projects, companywide Without those materials and equipment, the Frontline will not be successful, and neither will GSI. Responsibilities
What You Will Do
- Inventory control/audit preparation for Warehouse Department
- Inventory counting at random intervals on all items
- Ability to learn every individual material item and what its use is immediately upon hire
- Pull all outgoing orders and re-inventory all return orders from all jobs
- Shipping & Receiving duties- including loading and unloading all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted in a safe, efficient manner at all times
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company procedures and company culture
- Maintains receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and ensuring that GSI operational procedures are followed
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all vendors/suppliers, Project Managers, and other internal and external critical contacts within project scope.
- Utilize Vista by ViewPoint for all material processing, purchasing, inventory control, and invoicing
- Maintain current inventory counts daily
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse by constantly redesigning layout to better efficiency
- Order and maintain inventory levels of all inventoried items
- Order and maintain inventory levels of all consumable items for field crews
- Prepare capital expenditure requests yearly
- Prepare shipping costs reports on a monthly basis
- Schedule all shipping and receiving transports for both material and equipment going into the field
- Order and organize tooling for new crews and maintain tooling for existing crews
- Order and organize tooling for tool containers
- Produce reports and statistics daily on all materials
- Inventory control/audit preparation for Warehouse Department

- Ensure that all field crews have what they need to complete the job at all times
- Ensure all outgoing orders are pulled and re-inventory all return orders from all jobs
- Shipping & Receiving duties- including loading and unloading all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Work directly with project managers to ensure timely order submission and pulling
- General labor in warehouse- this is a working position which will require pulling orders, loading orders, cleaning and maintenance in addition to all duties
- This is a rotational on call position as we are an emergency contractor and you will be required to be called in and/or stay late to complete emergency orders at any time. You must be on call 24/7 during your assigned rotation to assist with any request that need immediate attention.
Qualifications
- Must have equipment operating experience, preferably a tele handler forklift as well as indoor forklift/general knowledge of daily maintenance on forklifts/equipment
- Must be able to receive Class A CDL within 3 months of employment or possess Class A CDL upon employment
- Organization, accuracy, great communication skills and attention to detail are key assets that you must possess when applying for this position
- Must be self-motivated to initiate what needs to be done and do so without direct supervision/direction
- Able to read, write, and speak English effectively.
