We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer lead and work on various Minerals and Metals projects from our Scottsdale, AZ office (near Phoenix, AZ).

About You:

As a Senior Structural Engineer , you will participate in a wide range of exciting projects by leading structure and foundation design for industrial buildings, equipment and service platforms, pipe/cable racks, ducting supports, retaining walls and other industrial facilities on Minerals & Metals process plants, gas clean facilities, material handling facilities, and acid plant projects. You will have an integral role in managing and growing the AtkinsRéalis Minerals and Metals team in the US.

How your experience will contribute to the team:

• Provide project team leadership by directing project execution activities and discipline deliverables for projects.

• Coordinate activities with other disciplines and clients' resident representative.

• Produce engineering documents such as, design reports, cost estimates and construction specifications, bid documents, bid evaluations, engineering directives, and other data, according to client specifications.

• Perform quality check for all design work to ensure to meet AR QA/QC requirements.

• Review the concrete rebar bending schedule and steel connection design and shop drawings.

• Prepare the engineering manhour estimate and schedule.

• Provide technical assistance to the civil/structural superintendents and craft to ensure best resolution for all parties for any technical issues arising in the field/plant.

• Perform the inspection for the structural engineering activities in site/plant.

• Provide problem resolution for structural engineering issue in site/plant.

Role Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering.

• Fifteen years of related experience since bachelor’s or fourteen years since Master's.

• Project experience in heavy industrial field would be preferred, such as Mining & Metallurgy, Oil & Gas, Acid Plant, Fertilizer Plant, etc.

• Experience in design and analysis of structural concrete and structural steel.

• Familiarity with ACI, AISC, ASCE and IBC standards and codes.

• Proficient with Staad, RISA, MathCAD, AutoCAD.

• Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to maintain confidential information critical.

• P.E. license is required (preferably in Arizona, Utah, or Nevada).

• S.E. license is preferred.
