Overview
The Department of Radiology at top Cancer Center seeks a Board-Certified or Board-eligible, fellowship-trained breast imager. Comprehensive services include digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, MRI, radioactive seed localizations and image guided core biopsy (stereotactic, ultrasound and MRI). Experience/training in breast MRI is essential. Full time is preferred. Breast Imagers do not take night or weekend call.
The Breast Imaging Center, located in the new Clinical Sciences Center, is state-of-the-art and staffed by five breast imagers. The breast imaging team works collaboratively with the breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and pathologists to provide multidisciplinary care to our patients as well as with outreach programs to increase screening participation in our local community. Our client is an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center (one of only two in New York State) and a top School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences affiliate, with academic appointments for staff. We are an ACR Breast Center of Excellence and our Breast Program is accredited by the NAPBC. PTO and CME offered. Hospital picks up malpractice insurance on behalf of the physician. Nighthawk coverage utilized by facility.
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications, and excellent fringe benefits are offered.
