Job description
Prince Telecom is currently hiring full-time entry level Fiber Optic Field Technicians in the Charlotte, NC area! We provide paid training, full benefits & a company vehicle! Pay: $15 - $20/hr+ Job Type: Full-Time What you’ll do… Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, troubleshoot and repair fiber optic systems. Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. Install, setup and configure residential networking equipment such as ONT’s, routers and switches. Perform testing on company issued devices and customer devices. Attempt to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues. Complete paperwork accurately, and report/record work order status updates. Perform customer service duties by: Greeting and interacting with customers in a professional courteous manner, including when responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns; Reviewing all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement; Educating the customer regarding product and service usage. Who we are looking for… Minimum 18 years old Valid driver's license (required) Authorized to work in the United States for this company without sponsorship Must live within 80 miles of Charlotte, NC. High school diploma or GED equivalent Comfortable working in tight spaces (such as crawl spaces or house attics) Comfortable working in inclement weather conditions Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Effective communication skills Able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends, as needed Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80lbs.
