Nemours is seeking a Surgery Scheduled to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Pensacola, FL.
The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for: Demonstrating excellent customer service that promotes patient, staff and customer satisfaction that reflect the mission, vison and values of Nemours. The Surgery Scheduler will schedule inpatient/outpatient surgeries and procedures for their departments as requested by the physician. To submit requests and ensure authorizations/ precertification are obtained for all surgeries/procedures, diagnostic testing, OT, PT, Sleep Studies and DME's as ordered by the physician. Must be able to interact with coworkers and clinic personnel in a productive manner. Must be able to meet deadlines and be detail oriented.
Primary Responsibilities:
Must be familiar with insurance plans regarding their terms and benefits.
